A Sustaining Legacy

Hal Saunders: Considering his life and work

Please join the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution and the Sustained Dialogue Institute for a celebration of Hal Saunders, and his legacy and contributions to the fields of diplomacy, sustained dialogue, and conflict resolution.

The afternoon begins with a panel discussion on Hal Saunders’s career in the U.S. State Department and the Sustained Dialogue Institute, moderated by Mark Farr, President of the Sustained Dialogue Institute. A reception follows with remarks from Kevin Avruch, Dean of the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution and the unveiling of Hal’s portrait by the artist, Jeffrey Bass.

In recognition of their generosity, S-CAR is proud to name the foyer of Point of View for Harold and Carol Saunders.

Following the formal program, guests are warmly invited to tour Point of View, stroll the beautiful grounds, and watch for bald eagles.
